Walmart Cracking Down on WA Customers Doing This and Getting Away With It
Walmart is a pretty popular store. When I tell people I'm from Yakima, my usual quote is, "It has a population of about 100,000. It's big enough to have two high schools and two Walmarts."
Though many shop at Walmart for a variety of reasons, there's one thing that Walmart has been letting slide for a long, long time now that you may be surprised next time you go in there that what has worked for you in the past may not work anymore.
And that's the use of coupons.
Not just any coupons, but some coupons with stipulations.
One of the great things about Walmart is they'd do several things with coupons that most other stores wouldn't like accept coupons that are just past expiration or, and probably especially, overages like if the coupon was valued at more than the price of the item at Walmart so you'd get your item and Walmart would even pay you the difference.
As of just recently, not anymore.
From Walmart's official corporate site, there are several coupon instances that they're not going to allow anymore.
Just this list of exclusions tells the whole story.
Walmart does not accept (mobile) digital coupons, (example: coupons scanned off a mobile phone).
Walmart does not accept expired coupons.
Walmart does not accept counterfeit coupons or any coupons made by a third party (VISA, MC, AMEX, Applebee’s).
Walmart does not accept vouchers or gift certificates.
Walmart does not accept UPC-A coupon barcodes.
Walmart reserves the right not to accept manufacturer coupons with no matching items (e.g. 992 family code).
Acceptance of unmatched manufacturer coupons to the correct purchase item is against policy and the coupon will be denied.
Walmart does not accept competitor/retailer coupons.
Walmart does not accept bottle caps for redemption.
Walmart does not honor double or triple coupons.
Walmart's amazing coupon policy was one of the reasons so many shopped at Walmart in the first place.
You can also see other stipulations like no digital coupons on your phone will be accepted anymore, no expired coupons, no more doubling up coupons and you must scan at the register.
Something to keep in mind next time you're shopping.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.

The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
