5.) Kurt Cobain

Lead Singer of Nirvana and an absolute legend around the world for his songwriting and musical talent. One of the most influential bands of the 90s and a front leader in the grunge era. Throw together an outfit with what you already have in your closet, get a long-haired dirty blonde wig and you're good to go.

4.) 10 Things I Hate About You

The movie that every teenager fell in love with during the 90s with a star-studded cast. Honestly, you could pick any outfit or character from this movie and it's perfect for a Washingtonian Halloween costume. What does it have to do with Washington? Well, it was filmed in Tacoma and set in Seattle. So do your best Heath Ledger impression (Not the joker one you're thinking of.) and watch as people flock to your costume.

3.) Sasquatch

Urban legend or an undiscovered creature, either way, Washington is rich in history when it comes to the legendary Sasquatch. There have been sightings since the early settlement of Washington and sightings have continued up to this day all over the state. There are quite a few Sasquatch costumes out there, which makes it perfect for Halloween, just make sure you're blurry in any photos taken.

2.) Chris Pratt

Whether you love or hate him you have to acknowledge Chris Pratt is not only an A-list actor but he was also raised right here in Washington. He's played a plethora of characters from Marvel, to tv, and even Jurassic park, so there's an endless well of costumes you can choose from. Our suggestion, of course, would be Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy but in reality, it's your call.

1.) D.B Cooper

Every Washingtonian knows the story of D.B Cooper, hijacking a plane back in 1971 and demanding over $200,000 dollars, however after he leaped from the plane he was never found. Did he live out the rest of his days on a beach in Mexico or did he not survive the jump? Either way, this is the perfect Halloween costume. Whether you're going as the D.B Cooper who lept from the plane or you wanna shake it up and have it be the D.B Cooper zombie. Either way, this is the perfect Washingtonian costume.
