There’s a Place in Yakima with Wonton Ramen Soup You Need to Try
To me, fall is soup season. Bring in all the soups. I want my glasses to fog and my soul to be warm with all of these exciting flavors in easy-to-manage form. Soup is often regarded as a side or even an option with your entre but I believe soup has ever right to be a main course along with anything else. It's cheap, it can feed a ton of people and it's so good.
Ramen is very high on my list on favorite soup for it's full flavor and all those noodles to fill you up. Wonton soup has always been a favorite as I love the meat-filled dumplings. Combine them both and you have, quite possibly, the best soup in all of the Yakima Valley. Maybe even the Pacific Northwest, and that's including all the great clam chowder we have on the coast.
This Wonton soup is from Mom's Dishes on 1st and Mead. It's a new restaurant that just opened up. I stopped in to grab a few things and loved it very much but had to come back over the weekend and try the wonton soup. This isn't your basic bowl of broth that happens to have a couple of dumplings in it, though. This is a full 'pho-sized' bowl of soup with not only wontons but also ramen noodles in it as well. They've also added a few other things like shrimp and that bbq pork I also love.
Next time you're in the mood for soup, check out Mom's Dishes for their version of Wonton soup.
