Yakima Needs a Place for Soup Dumpings, like Din Tai Fung
One of our favorite restaurants to visit, if we have the time (and the finances) when we visit Seattle is Din Tai Fung. This place has xiaolongbao or soup dumplings. They're a very delicate, bite-sized item that, when steamed, the meat combination inside releases broth that essentially has soup inside each one. It's a wonderful food experience and absolutely delicious. We can't get enough of them.
Sure, there are places in Yakima have have dim sum and steamed buns and stuff like that, but not like this.
That's not all they have, though! They also have a similar dumping featuring fried rice in these little purses. The perfect bite each time.
They have amazing sides as well, every single thing on the menu is a hit. We ordered too much, but we had to just try a little of everything.
These are amazing in every way. Every time we go there's always a wait, which is usually another tell-tale sign that it's a great place. Sure, they're not the only place for soup dumplings in Seattle and there are some in the freezer section that you can microwave but it's not the same. The full experience is fantastic and would love it if Yakima would get a place that made these soup dumplings from scratch like they do here.
