This morning I was in a hurry to get to work and I forgot my wallet at home. I went thru the drive thru at a local business and ordered my "perfect oatmeal and "red cup" coffee. When I got to the window to pay I reached for my wallet and nothing. I asked if they took checks and the woman working said "we don't, I'm sorry." I said I forgot my wallet but I promised I would come back and pay. She said that

We had fun hanging out at the Madd Hatters Haunt this past Sunday. Yakima's Premiere haunted house is surely going to busy the rest of the week leading up to Halloween. The even have extended hours this Wednesday. Madd Hatters is located at 720 W. Valley and the cost is $10 to get in with the proceeds going to support local clubs and non-profits. Every election cycle I get e-mails and phone calls on how to vote on certain matters. I'll leave the controversial stuff to you and your secret ballot. But there are always a few items that need further explanation.
Today I welcomed the Consulate-General of Japan based in Seattle. He is in Yakima learning more about our community and building relationships with Yakima area organizations. Yakima has a sister city relationship with Itayanagi Japan in the province of Aomori. He plans to visit the Yakima Valley Museum and travel to Wapato as part of his visit here.

The Best Things:
The fall season is upon us and before you know it there will be that fun "white" stuff on the ground! It was snowing a little today in Naches and Gleed and the extended forecast shows a chance of snow the rest of this week. SO if you're thinking about getting studded tires or you just need to get them put on your ride, November 1st is the starting date when they're allowed.
