Remember that nervousness you felt when you first got to high school? Well, if you're the parent of freshman, you get to feel it all over again!

You want your kids to learn lots and have fun, but you know they'll face obstacles and perils along the way.

One of the biggest worries: What if your baby starts hanging out with upperclassmen -- who often have cars and access to all sorts of other nerve-wracking things? And what if one of those upperclassmen takes an interest in your freshman daughter?

Well, then you turn to Couples Court ...

Dear Rik and Michele:

My daughter just started school as a freshman. A senior has taken an interest in her and has friended her on Facebook. I have secretly checked their correspondence and so far, it's been flirty and fairly innocent. My daughter wants to date this boy. My ex has very little to do with our kids and of course, will give our daughter permission to go to homecoming.

What do you think about freshmen dating seniors? I went to an all-girls high school, so I can't relate. Can you ask other parents who have gone through this what they think? I'm relying on you and your listeners because my ex is unreliable.

So there it is, Bull Pen jurors. The high school version of a spring-fall romance. What advice do you have for this week's plaintiff?
