Back in July, Parmalee's Matt Thomas was game for answering all the questions we could squeeze into one minute:

We learned a lot about Parmalee in a short amount of time that day, but Yakima will get to spend a whole evening with the band from Greenville, N.C., this Friday at the Central Washington State Fair. They're the featured performers in the US Cellular Concert Series -- showtime is 7:30 p.m.

Here's the best news: We've still got a few tickets -- and some backstage meet-and-greet passes -- to give away! Yup, just keep it on 92.9 and listen for ways to win, and be sure to come by our booth at the fair Friday to find out how else you can get into the show.

And it should be a terrific show! The boys known for hits like “Carolina,” “Close Your Eyes” and “Already Callin’ You Mine” aren't exactly strangers around Central Washington -- they're officially local favorites. They delighted a jam-packed Gorge Amphitheatre at the Watershed Music Festival less than two months ago, and their music continues to get lots of airplay around the valley.

They won't be staying out late Friday, though -- they're on tour, and they have three shows in three nights in California starting Saturday.

So ... catch 'em while you can!
