Tattoos

July 17th is National Tattoo Day. The purpose for the designation was to allow a day for those with tattoos to show them off.

I was raised in a very religious home. I went to church six days a week. I was raised, though, with the value that no one is different from anyone else. Whether you have light skin or dark skin, whether you believe in God or not or even if you have tattoos, you are no better than the next person.

I was recently in a tattoo parlor with my girlfriend, who was getting a tattoo for her birthday. I was happy to go with her for support. The guy at the tattoo place asked me if I was getting a tattoo? I replied, "Uh ... no. No, thank you." I don't have any tattoos and don't plan on getting any. Nothing against anyone who has them, they just aren't my thing.
