Just when you thought Toys "R" Us was down for the count, the toy retailer is preparing for a comeback!

We recently purchased a doll house for my oldest daughter. I got so frustrated putting it together last night, I smashed the heck out of it and threw it in the garbage.

The second annual Chili Cookoff at Owens Cycle last Saturday was awesome! We had a great time with the United States Marine Corps and the YWCA! All the bike clubs in town came out and entered their chili!

What a fantastic day it was for the United States Marine Corps, Toys R Us and all the kiddos who stopped by to check out the military vehicles and equipment. People came in droves to donate new, unwrapped toys as Toys For Tots kicked off this year's campaign.

Friday, December 11th at 6am the United States Marine Corps will be hanging out at 1st and Mead with their M 1 A 1 tank. Every year the USMC and 94.5 KATS-FM, 92.9 The Bull, 1073 KFFM, News-talk 1280 KIT, 1460 ESPN and Mega 99.3 teams up with Steve Hahn Volkswagen, KIA and Mercedes Benz of Yakima to gather up as much money and toys as we can for 'Toys For Tots' foundation.

Christmastime is coming and I remember how I always loved getting new toys every year. I had no idea as child that some toys were potentially dangerous and deadly, though. The World Against Toys Causing Harm is out with their list of the most dangerous toys for Christmas and the new 2015 list includes a foam dart gun, a quick-folding trampoline, a sword, a doctor's play set and velociraptor claws.

The United States Marine Corps will be on hand this Saturday (Nov. 14) at Dickey's Barbecue Pit to accept brand-new toys for their excellent program for children, Toys for Tots.

The annual Toys for Tots Bike Run is going down this Sunday in Yakima. We will be kicking it off at the Albertsons parking lot on 16th Avenue at 1 p.m.! Please bring a new, unwrapped toy that day -- or stop by the radio station, 4010 Summitview, and make sure Kelly West gets the toy...
