Yakima Valley Veterans Support Group, the Selah Food Bank, YWCA and Rod's House are the food bank pantries that we will be filling.

Most people think that the only time food banks need to be filled is around the holidays. This is not the case. Most of us eat every day, but our homeless and displaced neighbors do not always get that luxury. They need local food banks, which reach out to help fill the need. And the rest of us need to make sure those food banks are full so they can continue their efforts.

One of our deeds is tonight (Oct. 14) at the Safeway at First and Mead. Come and let us bag the groceries that you've purchased, and while you're there you can donate food or money to help us fill those food banks.

So join the Bull Pen at Safeway between 4 and 8 p.m. and let them bag your groceries. Help us raise awareness about our local food banks and feel warm and fuzzy inside.
