We try to be the "real" morning show on the radio. Sometimes that means sharing painful, embarrassing or very personal things.

I'd like to share something very personal that my family has been going through the past few months.

My husband was having some oral stuff done when the surgeon found a lump near his ear on his jaw line.

Long story short: It was a potentially cancerous tumor ... a parotid gland tumor is the clinical term.

For months we were bounced from doctor to doctor ... test after test. Each doctor would examine him than decide that it was more than they thought based on the referral and the test results. They would pass us on to another doctor.

Finally we were sent to Virginia Mason in Seattle.

Knowing that he had this growing tumor -- which might or might not be cancer -- I just wanted the damn thing out!

The surgery was finally completed at Virginia Mason, and the results came back ... NOT CANCER!!

I've missed a lot of work throughout this ordeal, so I want to thank Rik and Cefus for being understanding and supportive.

I also want to thank you, our listeners. Scratch that: You are my friends.

Thank you for listening, loving us and supporting us!
