You don’t need Valentine’s Day to be ready to propose to someone, just ask anyone in Yakima Valley. The perfect setting for proposing one’s hand in marriage varies by individual taste but some places seem to stick out as the most romantic spot to do it.

We asked some of our local friends for their recommendations on the best Yakima Valley spots to propose to someone but instead, we got a list of the worst possible suggestions. They are funny, though, so we’re sharing them with you.

2 . Downtown Yakima on North 1st St

3 . A Roller Derby Game (although there is a case to be made that this should be included on the BEST list!)

4 . In front of a dinosaur in Granger

5 . The Walmart Self-Checkout Lane
