Ballot measures on the February ballot will help schools

Ballot measures that ask voters to renew school levies will appear on the February 8 2022 ballot.
Officials with the Yakima County Elections Division are looking for people who want to serve on "for" and "against" committees for the ballot measures that will appear on the ballot. The committees are limited to three members and it's easy to become a committee member.

It's easy to sign up to be on a "for" or "against" committee

All you have to do is send an email saying you'd like to serve. committee members and the committee chair will be selected by a random lot drawing.
If you are interested you must contact the Elections Division by email at iVote@co.yakima.wa.us no later than 4pm on Friday, December 17.

Committee members provide written arguments for or against a ballot measure that will appear in the Local Voters’ Guide;

·  West Valley School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Zillah School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Naches Park and Recreation District Proposition No. 1, Special Levy

“Against” committee members are needed for:

·  Grandview School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Highland School District Proposition No. 1, Capital Levy for Safety, Security, Infrastructure and Technology Improvements

·  Mount Adams School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Union Gap School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Union Gap School District Proposition No. 2, Bonds to Construct and Improve School Facilities

·  Wapato School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  West Valley School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Zillah School District Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

·  Naches Park and Recreation District Proposition No. 1, Special Levy

Committee members must be registered to vote in Yakima County and must provide an email address.
