Amazing Football Snacks! Craft the Perfect Charcuterie Board!
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!!!
I certainly am ready for some - but ready or not - here it comes! The NFL Season has kicked off and aside from COVID, smoke, Social uneasiness - the main concern many gridiron devotees have is what to serve for game-time snacks!
Now, if we've rubbed elbows from 6 feet lately, you know I've put away my fair share of snacks. That, however, doesn't mean I'm indiscriminate with snacking, especially for a great game-watching experience with friends! I'm not opposed to a bag of chips and a brew but, hey, isn't it more fun to get creative and please the palate, even if the team lets us down?
One of my favorite go-to-snacks is The Charcuterie Board.
According to a quick Wikipedia reference,
Charcuterie is a French term for a branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products, such as bacon, ham, sausage, terrines, galantines, ballotines, pâtés, and confit, primarily from pork. Charcuterie is part of the garde manger chef's repertoire.
Really, the French word translates pretty well into English as Delicatessan.
This one has a delicious variety of Meats, Cheeses, Fruits, Nuts, Spreads, and even Chocolate.
It doesn't always have to be too large or too extravagant.
Especially if you know your guests' preferences or eating restrictions, you can really dial in snacks that meet even vegan or gluten-free needs.
I found a really well-done video on YouTube by Chris Loves Julia, which gives you step-by-step instructions on How to Craft the Perfect Charcuterie Board. Watch below.
