Over the weekend a sleepy little town in Oregon with a population of just under 2,000 was invaded by more than 20,000 country music fans.

Brownsville, Ore., is the home to the 10th annual Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival. Nestled between lush green hills on more than 800 acres of farmland, the grounds become a country music hoedown in the dirt, literally.

You can camp on the grounds or if, like me, you're not a camper, then grab a hotel room in Eugene or Corvallis.

Four days with 30-plus artists on two stages. Food, adult beverages and festival wares.

What I love about this festival are the seats. Yes, there are VIP seats near the stage. Now, these tickets may cost a little more, but they are definitely worth the extra money.

Compared to a few other festivals, this one seemed a little more tame or family- friendly. Don't get me wrong, there was drunkenness, but not an obnoxious level of crazy.

Bi-Mart has already announced a few of the artists who will be performing next year -- Eric Church and Alabama!

So start planning your 2018 vacation around this amazing country music festival.
