This Charming Small Town in WA Named One of the Best in the U.S.
When you compare Washington State to other states in the United States it seems like the Evergreen State has more small towns than big cities. But it doesn't mean there isn't a charm or even benefit to living in a smaller town.
HGTV took a look at each state and proclaimed the charming small town that's best for each states.

Have you heard of La Conner, Washington?
Many haven't.
Maybe that's what makes it so great, it's void of tourists.
Well, that's not exactly true as the ones that do know this town know it's charm and picturesque look to it.
Located north of Seattle by Skagit Bay with the Swinomish Channel running through it, La Conner looks like the type of town you'd see in any traditional Hallmark movie.
It has the classic rows of unique businesses and gift shops to find something you wouldn't find in a bigger city. It also has plenty of dining options, all along with waterfront for a great evening.
La Conner is also home to the Daffodil Festival. According to HGTV more tulips, iris, and daffodil bulbs are produced in La Conner than any other country.
