Wait… is Del Taco Secretly Coming to Yakima?

2018 South 1st Street in Yakima.

That's the proposed location for the 2nd Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen slated to go into that location as was mentioned earlier this year.

Having a Popeye's on that side of town would be a nice compliment to the already existing Popeye's at Rainier Square on Nob Hill.

It would be nice to have a Popeye's on South 1st. However, when you type in that address into Google to see the location, a different restaurant shows up in its place.

If it's the address for Popeye's, why does Del Taco pop up?

Though this is the proposed plan

Looking at the locations on Del Taco's website, Washington State only has 7 locations for Del Taco.

Yakima is not on the list.

The closest Del Taco Yakima has is the one in Richland.

Del Taco would be a welcome addition to Yakima. Any place that does tacos, burritos, and still has room on the menu for milkshakes has to be a pretty decent place.

I'm pretty sure this is in error but here's hoping.

A similar situation happened with our Sonic Drive-in closed on 1st and Nob Hill and Google said it was home of Raising Canes. This, of course, turned out to be false so I'm expecting a similar outcome for Del Taco, but it would be nice to see a Del Taco come to Yakima.

Only time will tell.
