Hot Rods and Muscle Cars Take Over Yakima’s State Fair Park
Yakima's State Fair Park will be a busy place this weekend with hundreds of cars on display during the 48th annual Vintiques National Car Show set for Friday-Sunday. The annual gathering of Vintiques draws members from throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
600 plus cars for your enjoyment this weekend
More than 600 custom and muscle cars and vendors are rolling into the valley this week with thousands of people expected to attend the show. Most of the car are on display for show but some are for sale. The show also offers a chance for those who are building cars to get needed rare parts that can't be found anywhere else at the annual Vintiques Swap Meet.
The show extends throughout the valley this weekend
The show is more than just a static show. Lots of events for members happen through the weekend but also for the public as well. On Friday night it's Hot Rod Races under the lights at Renegade Raceway. It's the second largest event held at the fairgrounds and brings in over $1,000,000 of tourist money into the community over it's 4 day run.
A press release says the Vintiques are a non profit charitable organization in Yakima promoting the car collector hobby and raising money for organizations such as Children's Wishes and Dreams and Rods house.
The show opens Friday morning
The 48th annual Vintiques National Car Show is open to the public at Yakima's State Fair Park. The show will be held from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday and 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday.
