
Is Seattle ‘Working Hard or Hardly Working’? Let’s Find Out
"Working hard or hardly working?"
It's the type of phrase your unfunny uncle may have told you when you were younger.
Or or that annoying coworker.
The first time I heard it was was working at Rite-Aid in town back when it was called PayLess. It was the first time I head it and I thought it was a great pun. I love play on words.
The financial website Wallet Hub took major cities across the United States to find out which states were, indeed, working hard and which others were, well, y'know... 'hardly working.
How does Seattle do and how does it compare to others like New York or even our friends in Portland?
Seems that Seattle is working harder than many other cities.
Not that I'm super surprised but I thought with all of those advances in technology Seattle would let the robots do all the hard work while the humans did all the heavy engineering to make the robots work harder.
Maybe that's why they're working so hard.
Seattle came in 32nd place out of the 116 they studied.
Portland wasn't too far away, either. Portland, Oregon, was 53rd. Still, better than average.
