A Day of Inspiration For Yakima Valley Middle School Girls

Since 2017, the League’s Girls Initiative has been inspiring girls and empowering leaders right here in the Yakima Valley, and they’re doing it again by inviting 172 middle school girls from across the valley to take part.

Students from all over the Yakima Valley, including Zillah, Toppenish, Grandview, Wapato, Granger, and four Yakima middle schools, are expected to attend and spend the day learning about empowerment and leadership.

When & Where Is This Year’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit

Friday, March 13th, at Perry Technical Institute will be the place for this year’s summit. People in attendance will learn about technical education as well as career paths.

“The Young Women’s Leadership Summit is designed to help girls see their potential and recognize the many opportunities available to them. By bringing girls together from different communities, we hope to inspire confidence, build friendships, and encourage them to become leaders in their schools and communities.”
