When it comes to laws, sometimes they just don’t make sense. It’s a good thing our tax dollars that you pay each month goes to fund such worthwhile activities. In some cases, they fund the ideas that the lawmakers hold near and dear to their hearts. Like this one for example...

1. In the State of Washington, any restroom with pay toilets has to have an equal number of free toilets.

This was created by a lawmaker in 1975 to ban pay toilets after stopping at a Snoqualmie Pass service station that had a coin-operated toilet-stall lock. Apparently he had change but was worried he might not in the future. So now, the law resides,

This became known as "Equal Potty Rights". No kidding.

2.In the State of Washington When two trains come to a crossing, neither shall go until the other has passed.

It is often seen in a paradox like the "chicken or the egg." In reality this law was worded purposely by a legislator in a somewhat complicated scheme to milk cash rich railroads outta some dollars. This was in the early 1900’s. This practice of writing laws to line politicians pockets continues today.

3. The State of Washington doesn’t allow marathon dancing, skipping, sliding, gliding, rolling or crawling.

Mmm, thoughts of ‘Footloose’ come to mind. So, if your baby, niece, nephew, or grandchild has crawled today, they have broken the law. Geesh, our state can be a buzzkill.

4. In the State of Washington One under the age of 18 must have parental permission to throw a tear gas canister.

Has anyone told this to the underage protestors in Seattle/CHAD/CHAZ? If they only knew it was against, the law, I am sure they would have stopped what they were doing and went home to watch some Youtube videos and go to bed.

5. In the State of Washington It is illegal to catch a fish by throwing a rock at it.

Lookout if you intend on skipping rocks in Washington State, you better hope that an errant throw doesn’t accidentally net you some fish.

Be careful out there. You never know what law you may be breaking.
