Comic conventions are a great way to let loose, hang out, meet tons of cool people, and explore your inner-fandom. Whether it's characters from your favorite movies and tv shows, the books you enjoy, the games you play, there's plenty of reason to attend a comic con.

And one of the best ones in the Northwest is coming to Spokane once again very soon.

Spokane is Home to Lilac City Comicon

Lilac City Comicon has been going on for almost 20 years now. Each year, people pack into the Spokane Convention Center, sometimes in full cosplay, to meet guests, attend workshops and panels, shop for those hard-to-find pop culture items, explore toys and games from their yesteryear, and so much more.

I think it's a lot of fun to see people in cosplay across the street at Chili's.

Big Names in Spokane

This year features several special guests you can meet and even grab a photo or autograph.

One of the red Power Rangers, Steve Cardinas, will be there.

One of them is Rodger Bumpass who voices Squidward in SpongeBob SquarePants.

Robert Timothy Smith who plays Neel in Skeleton Crew.

You can also meet Nana Visitor from Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

They also have other guests including comic book illustrators, and even attractions like a replica of the 1989 Batmobile.

Tickets are on sale now. Don't miss out. It's always a fun time.
