Seven states -- Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington -- and over 2,000 miles traveled in one week. With a few "resting" stops thrown in -- Las Vegas and Disneyland.

Why? It was a moving adventure. My bestie was moving from Prosper, Texas, back home to Yakima. Girls in the car, guy stuck in the moving truck.

We made a few out-of-the way stops to the Grand Canyon and crossed over the Golden Gate Bridge. Walking up and seeing the Grand Canyon for the very first time is truly breathtaking. Pictures just don't do it justice! If you ever get the chance to see the Grand Canyon ... DO IT!

We drove through Amarillo, Texas ... yes ... we played George Strait's "Amarillo By Morning" as we rode into town. We stopped to eat at the Big Texan Ranch, where if you can eat the 72-ounce steak with all the fixings in an hour then it's free. Four guys were up at the table trying the challenge. They all failed.

We relaxed at Margaritaville in Las Vegas as well as lounged by the pool for a while and hung out for some people watching at my favorite spot on the Las Vegas strip, Cabo Wabo.

We stopped in Disneyland to see the mouse. I found my dream guy there - he's tall, dark, handsome and hairy ... Chewbacca.

We finally rolled into Yakima at 1:30 a.m. on Friday (or Saturday morning), depending on how you look at it. Nobody got left by the side of the road or stuffed in the trunk. LOL!

It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip with some great friends who are wonderful people and I would jump at the chance to do it again!
