New Gallup Poll Shows 55 Percent of Americans Support a Smoking Ban in Public Places

The Yakima City Council will be taking up the issue of smoking at special events in city parks. Councilperson Sara Bristol who introduced the proposed smoking ban had mainly focused on special events at city parks. The Council will hear from you tonight on the matter in a public hearing at City Hall at 7PM.

The new Gallup poll which shows a shift in an Americans overall view of smoking could play into these types of discussions across the country.
