The latest update on the Pipeline Fire, burning in the LT Murray Wildlife Area north of Selah, is in as of 6:15 this morning.

According to Horace Ward, senior planner with Yakima Valley Office of Emergency Management, the fire has burned 4,000 acres and is at zero percent containment. The Yakima Herald-Republic is reporting that Level 2 evacuations are in place for about 400 nearby residences.

Horace said the weather cooperated last night, allowing the fire to die down some by midnight. But with the temperature looking to be in the mid-90s by this afternoon, it's hard to tell what the fire will do today.
