Sears is Reopening at Valley Mall Today, November 6th

Surprise!
Though we were sad to hear we were losing our Sears store in Valley Mall last November, there was apparently enough of an outcry to have Sears return.

I honestly don't know the circumstances of why or even how we're getting Sears once again. I'm also not sure if it's just a temporary 'Holiday' thing like how Macy's brings back Toys R Us during the holidays, but it seems like it's coming back to stay.

Late last week they removed the coverings from the windows so you could peek inside to see product on shelves and racks of items once again. It was like looking in through a time capsule.

I'll pop in later today and grab some more photos for a follow-up article. In the meantime, here's what one can see looking through the window.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
