Washington State Is Getting A Shake Shack: A Menu ForeTASTE
A delicious bite of New York is coming to the Pacific Northwest! You will finally get to taste what the hype is all about surrounding Shake Shack fast-food restaurants.
Beginning Saturday, October 6th, you can hop in your ride and take a trip over the mountain pass to the west side to find out if Shake Shack is worth the wait.
Residents in the downtown Seattle area are anxiously awaiting the opening of Washington state’s first Shake Shack location at 2115 Westlake Ave (close to Blanchard St and 9th Ave).
HEY, CAN WE GET A SHAKE SHACK IN YAKIMA, OR WHAT?!
Let’s peruse the menu to see if anything tempts you! (If you want to show the world you are a die-hard fan, check out the Shake Shack accessories, cookbook and toys you can buy!)
Shake Shack cooks burgers, fries, breakfast, “flat-top dogs”, frozen custard, and chicken sandwiches. Their beverage options include beer, wine, tea, lemonade, and fountain drinks. There's even a secret menu!
Sounds yummy! But wait! There’s more!
According to the Shake Shack website, they even sell food for dogs! You read that right! For your furry canine family member, they sell doggie biscuits called “Bag O’Bones” and for larger dogs, they have a “Pooch-ini” vanilla custard on the menu.
They wouldn’t be called Shake Shack, of course, without offering shakes, so look and see which flavored malt shake you want to taste first:
- Shack Attack® Chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough and Mast Brothers Shake Shack dark chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate sprinkles 580 cal/1170 cal
- Downtown Butter Brown (Battery Park City) Vanilla custard, Hazelnut Brown Butter Streusal and citrus marinated raspberries 390 cal/780 cal
- Vice Crispy Treat (Miami Beach) Vanilla custard, marshmallow sauce and crispy crunchies 370 cal/750 cal
- Brooklyn Pie Oh My (Brooklyn Shacks) Vanilla custard with slice of Four & Twenty Blackbirds seasonal pie 490 cal/970 cal
- Fudge-eddaboutit (Downtown Brooklyn) Chocolate custard, cinnamon fudge sauce and Mast Brothers Shake Shack Dark Chocolate Chunks 470 cal/940 cal
There will be Seattle-only specials available at the Westlake location. The Seattle Times reports Shake Shake Seattle will present a Montlake Double Cut burger, Coffee & Croissant frozen custard, A la Mode pie and beer from Seattle-area breweries (Fremont Brewing, Black Raven Brewing Co., Aslan Brewing Co. and Reuben’s Brews).
I know we could do local Yakima Valley-only specials if we built a Shake Shack here in town! We would feature Yakima breweries like Yakima Craft Brewing, Redifer Brewing Co., Bale Breaker, Hop Nation, Single Hill, Valley Brewing Co., Wandering Hop, Tieton Cider Works, Swede Hill Distillery, Yakima Valley Hops, and Yakima Chief Hops.
A Shake Shack in Yakima could create special burgers like a Millennium Plaza burger to honor downtown. Since one of Yakima's greatest food creations is the Cheese Zombie, we could have a Cheese Zombie chicken sandwich! What local malted shake creation would be complete with making a Soda Fountain Custard to honor our museum's famous shake parlor!
If it ever happens that we do get a Shake Shack in Yakima, please put my name on the guest list at the grand opening, would ya?!
