With the N.F.L. playoffs this weekend determining who will advance to the Super Bowl, we are sure to see some fantastic finishes. In the 30+ years I've been watching football, these are the most unbelievable finishes to, not only pro but, college and high school games as well.

Immaculate Reception

With just a few seconds left, the Pittsburgh Steelers trailed the Oakland Raiders 7-6 with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

Leap by The Lake

As a die-hard fan of the Washington Huskies, this one pains me to watch to this day. Ignore the obnoxiously loud Van Halen music and focus on Arizona quarterback Ortege Jenkins as he makes a spectacular effort on the final play of the game to win it for the Wildcats on the shore of Lake Washington.

Music City Miracle

Thusly named because the game took place in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans had just relocated there from Houston (Oilers) and were in the playoffs. It looked like their season was about to end until Frank Wychek and Andre` Dyson made an unbelievable play to end the game and subsequently propel the Titans to the Super Bowl.

Harlem Globetrotters of Football

I'll save you the effort of re-watching and counting them all. 15 laterals.

THE BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD!

John Elway's final game in college ended with bizarre heartbreak with a play that has come to be known as simply “The Play.”

Bingo! Bango! Bongo!

Texas High School State Championship game. Plano East down 41-17 with about three minutes to play. THREE on-side kicks later and it looked to be, quite possibly the greatest comeback of all-time in the history of football…. until it wasn't. I don't know what is better. The finish or the commentary provided by Roscoe P. Coltrane, Larry the Cable Guy and Billy Bob Thornton.
