I have a lot of love for Subway. In fact, I, at one time, was a Sandwich Artist as I have worked at Subway in the '90s. Back in the days of $5 footlongs, they only had two breads so you'd get asked, "White or wheat?" and Subway used to do that amazing V-Cut so your sandwich wouldn't spill out all over the table.

I loved it.

As times move on, so much most restaurants and Subway has been through a few changes since I was there some 28 years ago.

Now they have several types of bread, several types of cheeses, new sandwiches, the ability to toast your sandwich, and so much more.

But even still, one more change is starting to roll out this year that has some people not very happy about it.

This change was actually announced last year but we're starting to see it happen more and more now in local Subway locations across Washington State and even the entire country including right here in Yakima.

Subway is changing from Coca-Cola to Pepsi.

This news comes straight from Subway themselves.

I know; huge news.

Trust me, as someone who used to exclusively drink one soda over the other, this is bigger news than many may make it out to be.

I would actively go to some restaurants over others because they served one cola over the other.

Yes, it was that serious for me.

We'll see how it goes for Subway serving Pepsi products in the near future. Most may not even notice or, frankly, even care. But we're starting to see this happening in Yakima.
