Why This Costa Coffee is Unique at SeaTac in WA
If you find yourself in the N Gate at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you'll see this Costa Coffee. Though it looks like any other stand, this is very unique to see one in the United States.
Costa Coffee is a huge brand... outside of the United States. Still not as big as our Starbucks but Costa is probably the most popular coffee brand in the UK with many locations there. Yeah, UK also has Starbucks and another shop called Pret A Manger (which was super awesome), I was abnormally excited to see a Costa Coffee anywhere in the US, but there's good reason.
In 2019, Costa Coffee was bought by Coca-Cola. Based in Atlanta, they opened a few Costa locations in Atlanta and it seems more and more are popping up.
This Costa Coffee, from what I can tell, is the first Costa Coffee location in the entire Pacific Northwest. And so recent that it doesn't even show up on Costa Coffee's location finder for US locations.
Honestly, there's isn't much that makes them stand out among other coffee giants, especially here in the Northwest. In the UK they had fun treats like shortbread cookies and even things like Kit Kat coffee which tasted great.
You will see plenty of spots, but some of them also include when they sell their coffee at AMC theaters, certain restaurants, some hotels and even other airports.
Don't be surprised if you see Costa Coffee locations start picking up. I have a feeling you'll see more and more show up in the Northwest as we're pretty much a coffee-loving type of folk. Time will tell.
