School starts for most of the schools in the Yakima Valley this week. It's a great time to remind drivers to be aware of the school zones. They've been empty the past couple of months ... but obviously that's about to change.
The Love Project Yakima has teamed up with the HQ Barbershop in Yakima to offer 50 free haircuts to 50 boys in the community! A drawing for the cuts will be taking place this Sunday (Aug. 26), so please take the time to share this with a family you think would be perfect for this free service!

It's back-to-school time in my household ... which means putting together school supplies and picking out that first-day outfit.
As my kids and I sit at the kitchen table putting together their school supplies, I talk to them about going back to school and if they are nervous.
