It's wildfire season, here's how you can help and do your part to stop wildfires or any other sort of fires from happening.

Yakima Valley Emergency Management took to social media this morning (6/8/19) to notify the public of a fire currently burning in the Selah area.

As Smokey the Bear would say, "Only you can prevent wildfires." And he is absolutely right! This time of year, it is so easy to ACCIDENTALLY start a wildfire. Here are some prevention tips.

The air quality in Yakima County has gotten so bad that local schools are cancelling games and some weekend activities have been postponed. Due to the smoke their is a new website which monitors air quality and offers tips on how to deal with the smokey air...

We are getting some Facebook messages of a Wild Fire that has started on Ahtanum Hill.  We did see the line of flames down the side of the hill... and fire crews are on their way.  Fingers crossed they get this thing distinguished before it spreads...
