There a Place in Yakima Offering a Kimchee Cheesesteak You’ve Got to Try
I'm always looking out for new places, new businesses, new restaurants and all points in between. I'm always always curious about new menu items from businesses we already have in town.
When I heard a sandwich shop in Yakima had something called a Kimchee Cheesesteak, I knew I had to try it.
What makes this Kimchee Cheesesteak amazing? Well, you take two legendary things which would be Kimchee (don't knock it until you've tried it) as well as a classic philly cheesesteak and you have heaven in a bun.
Actually, since it's spicy would it be he.. well, never mind that.
Here's a peek on the inside before it's folded.
Yeah, I literally asked if I could take a photo before they folded and wrapped it up for me.
You can find this at Quiznos on 56th and Summitview.
This locally franchised chain is one of the remaining ones in Yakima. And it should be celebrated for remaining open.
About 5 years ago, Quiznos announced they'd be closing several hundred stores across the country. According to Restaurant Business they went from 4,700 stores to about 400. Yakima's location on 56th and Summitview is one that stayed.
In fact, all of Washington state only has 14 locations left. Yakima being one.
Though, with their toasting device, it's not as quick to just walk in and order one. You have to wait for your sandwich to go through that conveyor belt toasting device, but I promise that it's worth the wait.
These Kimchee Cheesesteaks from Quiznos are only available for a limited time so grab one while you can.
