Evening Thunderstorms Slated for Yakima on Friday, August 23
I love keeping an eye on the weather in Yakima.
We go through our heatwaves, our cold fronts, days where it's raining, weekends where it's snowing, fun to see what to look forward to so you can plan any outdoor plans accordingly.
According to the weather, not only is there a chance where it may rain tomorrow, but it's even calling for more thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms aren't exactly rare here in the Yakima Valley, but they are few and far between compared to places in the midwest.
We just had some thunderstorms here in the valley not too long ago and it looks like they're coming back Friday night.
Good news with the rain to give our crops some much needed relief from the recent heat we've had throughout the summer.
Also great news for people with cameras to snap those glorious photos where the night sky is lit up by the lightning that may be part of these thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms can also be bad news for the entire state of Washington as all it takes is one small static spark for our state to catch fire again. Let's hope this doesn't happen.
No set time or anything but the weather website just called for P.M. thunderstorms on Friday night. Here's hoping it comes through.
I love the morning air after a thunderstorm or any rainstorm for that matter. Will make those early morning jogs or bike riding whatever outdoor activity you may have, even if it's running to the store in the morning, hopefully a little more plesent.
