Volunteering As a Family Lets Us Help Our Favorite Causes Without Breaking Our Budget
My family and I have decided that it's time to take action! We have collectively decided that each quarter we are going to volunteer.
Our first family volunteer outing was for Northwest Harvest. Our shift was Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We packed food bags for schoolkids. Jackson, 12, and Shaylee, 11, had a great time! They are already asking when we are going back.
There are various shifts other than one Saturday a month. You can pick which ones work best for you.
There are those of us who can't afford to donate money to all the charities we love, so volunteering is another way to give without breaking your budget.
What charities do you volunteer for?
