Believe it or Not, WA is One of the Best States for Teen Drivers
You see those teen drivers on our roads and what's the first thing you do? Avoid them at all costs? Take a different road because you don't trust them? Well, as it turns out, Washington State is one of the best states for teen drivers.
I know! I was shocked, too! If it wasn't from Wallet Hub I wouldn't have believed it.
And our friends in Oregon are in first place. Right on, Oregon! Maybe it's because they have someone else pump their gas for them, I'm not sure.
Yeah, Oregon is the best state for teen drivers.
And Washington isn't too bad in 5th place compared to the rest.
Washington State is also ranked 1st for presence of distracted-driving laws, 1st for occupant-protection laws and 1st for presence of impaired-driving laws.
Other states are New York in 2nd which makes sense as nobody drives in New York. 3rd goes to New Jersey because with all those toll booths they're too broke to drive and 4th is good ol' Connecticut where all the money is so they can afford the very best driving schools for teens. That's my theory, anyway.
Montana is worst and this make so much sense as there was a time not long ago where it seemed like Montana speed limit laws were a little loosey-goosey. Combining that with mountain passes could cause for major accidents.
This list was comprised of safety, economic environment and driving laws.
