Maybe it's the heat. Maybe it's something in the water. Whatever the cause, I've determined that THIS is the proper time to present a handful of gems in this Episode of Weird Record Wednesday: 'Five of The World's Most Bizarre Songs'.

The first offering is from a dynamic duo who enjoyed tremendous 'jukebox' success in the 1970's - but spent most of the decade languishing through 'limited' chart success. In 1970 - they did hit #1 on the US Country Charts with 'Tennessee Bird Walk' followed by a #5 novelty record called "Humphrey The Camel" and then the remake of the pop single: "You've Got Your Troubles (I've Got Mine) rising only to #27. Turn this one up!

From the album "Life & Death (and Almost Everything Else)"                                      The amazing husband and wife duo, JACK BLANCHARD & MISTY MORGAN with the cult classic: HOW I LOST 31 POUNDS, IN 17 DAYS.

That was both bizarre and hilarious at the same time.

I don't even know what to say about this one. It really speaks volumes for itself. I will say, I will now be placing pork butt in my smoker and have scrapped my plan for chicken.

Here's a groovy little ditty that's as much fun to watch as it is to sing along with at the top of your lungs (much to the chagrin of your closest friends).

Here's Russian singer extraordinaire: Eduard Khil with 'The Trololo Song'

Along about 1980, I discovered a group by the name of 'FUN WITH ANIMALS'. Their debut single (and as far as I know their last one) was 'THE TEST OF LOVE & SEX'. I think you'll agree -- it is indeed bizarre.

Next, it's Weird Al Yankovic with a bit of comic relief. Boy, did we ever need comic relief after hearing ACHY BREAKY HEART by Billy Ray Cyrus over and over in the 90's. That song deserves honorable mention in a listing of bizarre songs. But Weird Al's parody of it makes the list.

It's nice to have an outlet where I can get these bizarre songs out of my head and into yours. I look forward to next week's episode of 'WEIRD RECORD WEDNESDAY'.
