Many people have a preference on grocery stores in town. Some travel to their favorite while many just shop whatever is close by for convenience. Some may have a preference when it comes to a few items vs. shopping for the entire week or even month.

But which one is the most overpriced?

What is the most overpriced grocery store in Washington State?

According to Delish, the most overpriced grocery store belongs to Whole Foods. I say this as they had a list of 5 but, to the best of my knowledge, Whole Foods is the only one with locations in Washington State.

No doubt you've heard of Whole Foods. If you haven't, think of that one or two aisles of the 'healthier' section of any grocery store and it's an entire grocery store of just that.

You won't find the usual candy bar selection, probably won't find a cooler full of sugary sodas and energy drinks. There's a good chance you won't find a deli with fried chicken and jojos. You're not going to find all those vivid cereals with marshmallows in the cereal aisle.

However, if you need an antipasta bar or ingredients to make the best salad you've ever had, they have you covered.

Though it doesn't mean they're not fun, either. I saw this video for a strawberry pretzel cream pie that looked amazing.

Other overpriced stores on the list were ones I don't think are anywhere in the Northwest. Erewhon Market, ACME Market, The Fresh Market, and a place called Harris Teeter.

These are the types of grocery stores that build based on local area income to ensure people can actually afford to shop there regularly.

I think Yakima would do well with a Whole Foods but, in the meantime, there are a few Whole Foods in the Seattle-ish area one can travel to for that Whole Foods experience. I do like to visit them but it's not the place I'd make a habit of shopping at often if we had one in town.
