The Yakima Health District issued a stay-at-home order for Yakima County late Sunday to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
County residents are urged to stay home and only go out for essential services and medical care. Currently, health officials say, there are 24 confirmed cases along with eight presumptive positive cases in Yakima County.
A news release from the district says "essential services" can remain open.
The district listed essential services:

  • Gas stations.
  • Pharmacies.
  • Food (grocery stores, convenience stores, food banks, takeout and delivery       restaurants).
  • Banks.
  • Laundromats/laundry services.
  • Essential state and local government functions.
