Your Taste Buds Can Thank Me Later, Try This Amazing Restaurant
It was my significant other's birthday and we wanted to find somewhere new and fun to celebrate it. Lucky for us we've lived here for a couple of months or so, basically everything is new to us. However, Emily found what I think may be our new favorite restaurant.
Usually, I'm not a big risk-taker when it comes to food but seeing this menu I couldn't pass up the chance to try their food. Go figure me taking a leap of faith was totally worth it and WaterFire is hands down in my top 3 favorite places in Yakima.
WaterFire's menu had a wide variety of different foods but not so much that it was hard to pick from. We decided to try our hands at a full 3-course meal and were far from disappointed.
I went pretty basic when it came to drinks and just had a Coke, Emily however treater herself for her birthday and got a Black Berry Mint Kamakazie that had a tasty berry kick to it and trust me when I say the mint in this drink was tasty.
For the appetizer, we dove straight for the Crab Cakes, salty, savory, and surprisingly filling since we were sharing. It comes out with a melody of sauteed veggies like corn, green beans, onions, and more, the Crab cakes have a delectable sauce on top and the bottom that makes the flavors burst in your mouth.
With so many other choices for an entre, we ended up choosing the same thing the Habachi steak with mashed potatoes, tempura asparagus, bean sprouts and, sauted mushrooms. I can tell you it was a decision well made, this steak was tender, juicy, cooked to perfection, and savory in every bite.
It was so good I forced myself to stop eating so I could have some leftovers later when I got home, by the picture you can see why. Definitely, a suggestion if you decide to go and try WaterFire.
Now onto the dessert at WaterFire, there was a number of things we wanted to order but because of how full we are we decided to split a Flourless Chocolate Torte, imagine a chocolate saucer with a mixture of milk, dark choclate into a fudge like mousse. It had a raspberry type sauce under it to give you the perfect balance of chocolate and the syrup.
Overall this restaurant is a must try wether you live in the Yakima Valley or are a foodie in general. This place is an easy 5 out of 5 stars, do you and your taste buds a favor and go check out WaterFire Restaurant and Bar.
