App Promises to Find You a Pet That Looks Just Like the One You Lost

There's an app for that ... literally.

A company in California has developed an app that will find a look-alike animal similar to your deceased pet.

The app is called PetMatch and it uses a photo of an old pet, an animal that belongs to a friend, or just a favorite breed and searches for animals up for adoption in your area.

I guess if cloning is a step too far for you then the next best thing would be a look-alike.

I think that this is a little odd. The pet would not have the same personality, and because the new pet would look like my deceased pet it would remind me of them, which would make me sad.

You can't replace what you had with your pet.
