My friend lives on the west side of town in a well-to-do neighborhood. She was complaining the other day about how she dislikes the carloads of kids from less fortunate neighborhoods who trick-or-treat on her street.

She is irritated by the fact that she pays taxes that go toward social programs for these kids.

She wants her street to be open to the kids in her neighborhood ONLY.

She reminded me of the Grinch who stole Christmas.

Should kids only be allowed to trick-or-treat on their own neighborhoods?
