Hit songwriter Bobby Pinson is gathering some of his singing pals to play his weekly acoustic Sing for Your Supper show, which will benefit wounded warriors. Words for Warriors is set to take place on Wednesday, April 11 at Pinson’s new Nashville restaurant, Lucy’s Country Cafe, which he and his wife (Lucy) opened in early February.

Jake Owen, Rhett Akins, Heidi Newfield, Darryl Worley, Trent Tomlinson, Aaron Tippin, Pam Tillis, Andy Griggs and former bull rider Justin McBride have signed on to join Pinson in singing that night for a cause they each hold very close to their hearts. All proceeds raised during the Words for Warriors acoustic concert will go directly to fund multiple outdoor expeditions for wounded warriors throughout the coming year.

“I was drawn to this cause after seeing firsthand the great amount of good that was being done by such a small charity,” Pinson tells Taste of Country. “I knew immediately that I wanted to personally be involved in making sure that KWO was able to continue touching the lives of our troops and aiding in their return to normalcy in the simplest way … having fun!”

Tickets to the show are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Those who have military or student IDs or a Lucy’s Country Cafe lunch receipt can get their tickets for $15 at the door the night of the show. The benefit will start at 7PM and is expected to last until 11PM. Lucy’s Country Cafe is located at 1911 Broadway, Nashville, Tenn. inside the Blue Bar. Lucy’s Country Cafe has quickly become one of Music City’s hot-spots for dining. The restaurant takes pride in serving up some of the finest southern-style eats, buffet style, featuring a variety of homemade family recipes passed down over three generations.
