It's that time of year ... graduation.

My oldest son, Mathew, is graduating from Naches Valley High School and the school sent out a letter in regard to senior pranks: No pranks allowed!

The consequence of breaking the rule is not walking at graduation.

I get that the school is trying to keep the kids from doing something stupid, harmful or destructive, but not all pranks are bad. Many are harmless and funny. Example: A senior at Naches a few years ago put big googly eyes on the Ranger that's painted on the high school's wall. I love the googly eyes!

Mathew's dad pulled off a few pranks back in his day, too. They took the Bob's Big Boy statue and placed it at Eisenhower High School. They threw tires around the flag pole at Davis High School and they filled a teacher's car with bean bag balls. That's just a few of the pranks they accomplished.

Were you a part of a senior prank?
