It's a tale as old as time: Happy wife, happy life. But now the old saying has a study to back it up.

The study is pretty black and white. It says that those who have a good, happy, healthy marriage from the beginning have a lower mortality rate than those with partners who are depressed and unhappy.

I am all for it takes two to tango, though. Being happy is about more than relying on your spouse to make you happy. You have to make yourself happy before anyone else can, so if you have doubts within yourself, work on those before you depend on someone else to make up for your lack of self-love.
