What better way to spend this sure-to-be-chilly Saturday night than helping Cheyenne and the great folks at Northwest Harvest with a great cause?

The sixth annual Carve Out Hunger benefit for Northwest Harvest starts at 6 p.m.  (Oct. 12) at the 4th Street Theatre, 14 S. Fourth St. in downtown Yakima. Come out and enjoy snacks from caterers like The Fat Pastor and Creations by Toni -- or try the pizzas from Hoptown Wood Fired Pizza and sweets from Yum!

And you can wash it all down with local craft beers, wines and ciders, which will be available for your tasting pleasures! Is your mouth watering yet?

As if that isn't enough, you can watch local media celebs compete in a pumpkin-carving contest in our best attempt to coax you to buy tickets and vote for our pumpkins! Vote for your fave and you could be taking it home with you! (I will be doing a D--------- theme. Wanna know what it is? I guess you'll just have to come find out!)

This is a 21-and-over event. Tickets are $50 a person in advance or $55 at the door. Click here to purchase.
