Couples Court: Should We Say Something About Our Friends’ Overweight Child?
Come on -- admit it. You're as sensitive about your weight and body shape as anybody.
So it's not hard to imagine how you'd feel if someone tried to tell you that you were getting out of control and needed to change your ways.
Keep that delicate thought in mind as we review this week's Couples Court case ...
Dear Rik and Michele
I just returned home with my kids from spending the summer at my parents' house. I was shocked when I saw my neighbor's son. He is 8 and has gained at least 20 pounds this summer. When he plays with my kids he wheezes and is out of breath. His clothes don't fit and he doesn't look healthy. Should I speak with his mother or report her? My husband says to stay out of their business. What would you do?
Weighty matter, indeed.
So what's it going to be, Bull Pen jurors? Tune in Thursday morning and hear Judge Michele Mathews' ruling.
