5.) Walk the Mall

Head over to the Yakima Valley Mall, get your steps in as you window shop or do some shopping and use those bags as added weight. Walking in any form is extremely good for you, doing so while being out and about cuts back on the misery of doing it on a treadmill or just powering ahead to a random destination. You also don't have the same car worries while walking on a sidewalk.

4.) Climb Stairs

Anywhere there's a good staircase and little to no traffic is perfect to get your steps in. Taking the stairs can help you burn more fat and build more muscle than regular walking. It gets your blood pumping and can also help with heart health. However, you want to make sure you don't overdo it and listen to your body.

3.) Easy Youtube Workouts

A lot of workouts can be done from the comfort of your own home now, it's easy as logging onto youtube and searching some workout regiments. Some old workout videos that are still sold today are free on youtube. Meaning it doesn't cost you a dime besides your normal wifi bill to work out at home.

2.) Ride a Bike

Cycling is a great workout and one that can be done almost anywhere, on parking lots, sidewalks, and roads, as long as you're being safe. If you feel you don't trust yourself on a bicycle we don't suggest you go out and buy one just for the workout. If you think you'll be fine and want to treat it as an investment we say go for it but make sure to wear a helmet and follow the rules of the road.

1.) Go For a Swim

Swimming has been named the best workout as it works every part of your body at once while swimming, the more you swim the more calories you burn. There are a few places for you to swim in the Yakima Valley including the Yakima YMCA Aquatic Center. There are a few other choices but the YMCA Aquatic Center may be your best option.
