Daylight Saving was the thing we all just kinda did and didn't question it.

But why?

What's the point of Daylight Saving Time

It was just a way to add more daylight to the day. I mean, the same amount of daylight would have been there, either way, but if people are working farming hours, you'd have more light in the morning hours. Work more hours, get more stuff done during the summer.

Of course, with today's technology, it may not be necessary, but it's still recognized for most of the United States.

Hawaii and most of Arizona are excluded.

Spring Forward; Fall Back

When it comes to Daylight Saving Time, I still have to think 'Spring Forward; Fall Back' when it comes to how to set the clocks.
In spring, you move them ahead an hour. In fall, you move them back an hour, thus ending Daylight Saving and putting time back on track.

That also means it starts getting darker quicker. It's never fun trying to drive home at 5 p.m. where it already looks like 11 p.m.

When is Daylight Saving end in 2025

The time to set your clocks back isn't until Sunday, November 2nd, 2025.

Both forward and back are always on Sunday, fortunately. It's one of those 'at 2 a.m.' but not sure if anyone actually wakes up at that time just to set it.

On the flipside, we have so many automatic devices like our phones that do it for us. I usually just have to set my microwave and my old alarm clock I've had since the '80s, but Daylight Saving Time is usually already set for most of our smart devices.

Also, before we end, it's Daylight Saving Time. Not Daylight Savings Time.
