According to the National Weather Service (NWS): "At 3:40 a.m. PDT, Yakima County Emergency Management reported flooding on Wide Hollow Creek in Yakima between Stone and 96th. Other creeks and streams will rise during the next couple of days
with continued snow melt...potentially producing more flooding."

The flood warning took effect at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and will remain in effect until 3:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The NWS encourages you to take precautionary measures: "Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."

The forecast for Yakima for Tuesday is sunny and 56.
